With Santel Jetnet, you won’t have to worry about running any special phone lines or installing additional phone jacks. Santel Jetnet will work on any standard jack in your home. Our Santel Jetnet Installation Technician may make recommendations to allow you to receive the maximum potential of the Santel Jetnet service.Network Interface Card (NIC)
You will need to have a NIC (Network Interface Card) installed in your computer and configured (this is not included in the Santel Jetnet Services installation fee). You can install a NIC yourself or have your local computer store install one for you.
Your computer software will need to be reconfigured to support Santel Jetnet.
Once your NIC is installed and everything is properly configured, you will need to notify Santel Jetnet and we will deliver a Jetnet modem to you. This is a modem compatible with the equipment at our central office and with your computer.
With Santel Jetnet’s always-on connectivity, you may wish to obtain firewall software to protect your computer from the internet. Please talk with your local computer store about the different types of firewall software available for your computer.
Each Santel Jetnet modem has different software options. We will work with you to obtain which plan works best for you.
